Or, if you can find a reputable antiques dealer in your area, either by researching online or by seeking referrals from friends and family members, they’ll be able to help you find exactly what you are looking for well within your set budget.
If antique engagement rings aren’t for you, another place where to find bargain engagement rings is from different sales from local jewelers. A lot of jewelers have end-of-the-year sales or even Columbus Day sales in their stores, where they will discount their inventory by a decent amount where you can not only find a gorgeous engagement ring but also get one at a bargain price. Make sure to shop around so you know whether or not you are really getting a bargain. Some stores increase their prices right before they hold a sale, so you’ll really end up paying exactly what you otherwise could have at any other time of the year. But, if you’re careful in how you go about shopping for a bargain from a regular jewelry store, there are definitely bargains to be had if you’re open to what size and quality stone you are looking for and if you aren’t shopping for too ornate a setting.
If you don’t want to wait for an engagement ring to go on sale, you can also find a jewelry outlet store. A lot of major jewelry stores are starting to open outlet stores where all of the jewelry is less expensive than it would be in the normal store. Keep in mind, though, that while you will be able to save some money, the quality of the diamonds won’t be as high as if you were to shop in a normal store. Often, the diamonds are already set, so you’ll have a harder time telling which ones have larger flaws, so just be wary of this when shopping and you’ll be able to better avoid potential problems.
